Following the success of the October workshop, the Public Procurement Office, with support from the " EU for Public Finance Management in Serbia " project, held a new three-day webinar from April 7 to 9. This online training was designed to help candidates prepare for the public procurement officer exam, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage public procurement within their organizations.
Participants received comprehensive training on public procurement laws and regulations, covering all key procedures—from procurement planning and cost estimation to bid evaluation and contract management. Special emphasis was placed on electronic tools and the Public Procurement Portal, which will enable future officers to navigate digital procurement processes with greater ease. Representatives from the Public Procurement Office guided participants through legal provisions and practical steps, aiming to enhance their ability to manage public procurement processes efficiently, effectively, and transparently in their work.
The effectiveness of this training is best demonstrated by the experiences of both current participants and those who successfully passed the exam after attending the webinar and are now working as public procurement officers. These individuals frequently share with colleagues preparing for the exam that the webinar, combined with digital resources, has significantly aided their preparation process.
Participants have highlighted the value of the training, particularly the detailed coverage of the most critical legal provisions related to public procurement. The daily knowledge tests, which closely resemble the format of the public procurement officer exam, have been especially helpful in familiarizing participants with the exam structure. Additionally, future public procurement officers can leverage digital tools for theoretical preparation and gain practical experience by using the Public Procurement Portal.
For those considering a career in public procurement, this training represents a significant step toward certification and professional growth. Well-prepared candidates have a higher chance of passing the exam, paving the way for further career advancement in this field.
This webinar is organized organized as part of the project "EU for Public Finance Management in Serbia", funded by the European Union and implemented by UNDP, in partnership with the Center for Excellence in Finance (CEF) and the Ministry of Finance of Slovakia.
