CONTINUAL TRAINING FOR THE INSTITUTIONS IN CHARGE OF THE ACTIVITIES UNDER THE CHAPTER 23 ACTION PLAN

In collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, on 20 October 2019, the Project has organised a new round of training on the reporting on the Chapter 23 Action Plan implementation. The new round follows the workshop held on 24−25 September.

The training focused on the preparation of concise reports on the implementation results. It aimed at providing participants the insights and mechanisms for monitoring the reporting on the implementation of the Chapter 23 Action Plan, and – more specifically − the new reporting methodology as per the proposed revised Action Plan and the Methodology Manual for contact persons for Chapter 23 Action Plan, developed under the Project.

The Negotiating Group for Chapter 23 prepared a draft of the revised Action Plan for Chapter 23, and one of the revision goals had been the improvement of the monitoring of the reporting mechanisms in order to eliminate the shortcomings in the process previously noted.

The training provided detailed explanation of the proposed mechanism for monitoring the Chapter 23 Action Plan implementation as well as the mechanism of the Early Warning System in case of late implementation.
