CONTINUAL TRAINING ON HARMONISING NATIONAL LEGISLATION WITH THE EU ACQUIS _

With the support of the Ministry of Justice, the Project organised another workshop for civil servants, aiming at acquiring the necessary knowledge on the incorporation of the acquis into the national legislation. The two-day workshop was held on 23-24 2019 May in the premises of the Judicial Academy.

The objective of the workshop is to advance the knowledge and the skills of the Ministry of Justice Staff, necessary for further harmonisation of the national legislation with the acquis, specifically Chapter 23: Judiciary and Fundamental Rights. This workshop is the second out of three which ought to enable its participants to respond to the demands of the EU-integration process as prescribed by Chapter 23. So far, workshop participants have had the opportunity to learn how to draft, complete and monitor statements and harmonisation tables, how to plan for the adoption of the acquis and how to prepare a corresponding methodology, starting from analysing the acquis to ensuring the harmonisation of a given legal act.

The workshops are being conducted under the Project’s Programme for Strengthening the Capacity to Harmonise the National Legislation with the EU Acquis.
