Green Street in Lisbon is one of tourist attractions in the Portugal capital city, thanks to the citizens who live in there and who have decided to create a botanical garden in there, in the very downtown of the city. In the year marked by the Covid-19 pandemic, Lisbon has been proclaimed the European green capital 2020. Civic initiatives similar to this one taken by the Green Street inhabitants have contributed to a large extent to the prestigious award.
