INFORMATION MEETINGS WITH SECONDARY SCHOOL DIRECTORS

The second piloting of the state matura is scheduled for the beginning of April 2022. Preparations are ongoing, and in mid-December 2021, online meetings were held with secondary schools' principals to learn more about the concept of the state matura exam and the activities carried out in preparation for piloting.

For two days, December 14 and 15, 2021, 14 information sessions were held with more than 550 public and private secondary schools’ principals. The first part of the meetings discussed the importance of introducing the second national exam - harmonisation of criteria that will lead to greater fairness and equality of the system, better conditions for access to higher education institutions based on passed matura exams, objective assessment of knowledge quality and opportunities to improve the quality of the education system. The second part of the sessions was dedicated to the details of the second pilot - deadlines, obligations of school teams and clarifications of the purpose of piloting, through which the reliability of procedures and the quality of tasks and tests will be checked once again.

Informative meetings with school principals are an introduction to training and webinars intended for school teams, teachers, students and parents, which the State Matura Project, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, will organise in the coming period, so that all parts of the education system are prepared for the future changes.
