The carcass classification handbook launched to support implementation of carcass classification system in Serbia

An expert team within the EU-funded Twinning Project “Support to establishment of carcass classification system in line with the EU Common Agricultural Policy” released a new Carcass Classification handbook to help the Serbian administration to implement the carcass classification system, in line with the European Union Regulations.

Within the practice, the Handbook details practically the regulatory framework, system coordination, beef and pig carcass classification, marking of carcasses, price reporting and registry, control and supervision, inspector and slaughterhouse responsibilities and  training courses.

This publication is launched, with the approval of Department for Contracting and Financing of European Union Funded Programmesinistry of Finance and Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Serbia, on and can be downloaded in both Serbian and English languages, and it will be printed and distributed to a range of slaughterhouses and stakeholders involved in a project.
