TWO-DAY TRAINING FOR THE MoJ STAFF: APPLYING NEW BAILIFFS’ OPERATIONS MONITORING SYSTEM

With the Project’s support, the Ministry of Justice organised a two-day training (18−19 November 2019) on electronic monitoring of bailiffs’ operations for its Judicial Professions Department staff.

The purpose of this training was to present the system for electronic monitoring of bailiffs to the MoJ Staff whose job involves monitoring of bailiffs.

The trainees had the opportunity to learn from the representatives of the e-Justice Section about electronic monitoring of bailiffs’ operations, and to learn how electronic monitoring will be performed in proceedings to which the amended legal provisions in the area of enforcement and security will be applied, as of 1 January 2020.

As of October 2019, the Ministry has made possible for citizens, attorneys and businesses to access their enforcement cases, initiated from September 2019, online through the Portal of Courts, thus significantly increasing the transparency of enforcement proceedings.

The most recent amendments to the Enforcement and Security Act − which are to enter into force on 1 January 2020 − will introduce major novelties to enforcement proceedings, such as the e-Auction and electronic notice board.
