European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) - Republic of Serbia EIDHR CBSS 2020

The general objective: to support and strengthen civil society organisations, democracy activists and human rights defenders working on critical human rights and democracy issues in third countries.

Specific objectives: 1. Support to human rights and human rights defenders most at risk 2. Support to other EU human rights priorities in line with the set of EU human rights guidelines adopted by the Council of the European Union. The priority of this call for proposals is: awareness-raising of the importance of human rights in responses to the COVID-19 crisis and similar emergency situations. 

Indicative activities: Advocacy, lobbying and development of strategies by civil society organisations to push for legal reform, to influence policy-making, Provision of psychosocial, medical, legal assistance and any other type of support ; Raising awareness campaigns; Documenting and reporting on cases of human rights violations; Monitoring of implementation of the international human rights instruments that the country has ratified; Supporting the collection of appropriate information, including statistical and research data; Capacity-building through trainings of civil society organisations active in the human rights/democracy field/ human rights defenders; Promoting the inclusion of women, youth, and other marginalised groups, etc.
