Call for proposals - TV and online content
Support to TV and online
content aims at increasing the capacity of audiovisual productions to develop
and produce authentic projects with significant potential to circulate
throughout Europe and beyond, and facilitate European and international
co-productions within the television and online sectors.
What are the basic requirements?
Projects with a maximum duration of
24 months, which bring together at least 2 broadcasting companies (linear and
non-linear) from at least two different countries participating in the Creative
Europe MEDIA program, can apply to this call. More information on the requrements
for applying is available in the call for proposals which can be found HERE.
Who can apply?
·
independent
European production companies from countries participating in the MEDIA
sub-programme.
·
participation
of two broadcasting companies from the countries participating in the MEDIA
subprogramme is required; participation must be supported by contracts or
signed binding letters.
·
coordinator
must be the majority producer in terms of rights. In the case of 50%-50%
co-production, the partner should designate the coordinator as delegated
producer.
·
at
least 40% of the funding of the total estimated production budget must be
guaranteed from third-party funding sources, such as contributions from
broadcasters, distributors, funds and private and/or public capital investors.
Incentives are accepted as a source of third-party financing only if
accompanied by appropriate documents from the competent authorities.
What is the application
deadline?
The application deadline is 23
May 2023, and the results are expected in October 2023.

Keep in mind some key tips for
applying to this competition, as funding is available for the following
projects:

drama,
animated and documentary films envisioned for linear and non-linear
broadcasting, which showcase strong cooperation between operators from
different countries participating in the MEDIA subprogram, including
broadcasters;
·
projects
that have a high creative/artistic value and a wide potential for cross-border
exploitation, with the ambition of winning of the audience at the European and
international level;
·
projects
that have innovative aspects in terms of content and funding that show a clear
connection to the envisoned distribution strategies;
·
special
attention will be paid to applications that take into account adequate green
strategies, especially through the use of consultants in this area; as well as
gender equality, inclusion and diversity.
