Civil Protection

Activities in this sector include fighting fires, preventing floods and repairing damage after natural disasters, and for the past two years, support in the fight against the coronavirus - delivery of medical equipment, vehicles and aid to refugees and other vulnerable groups. More specifically, numerous ambulances, as well as those for extinguishing forest fires, were procured through European projects of the civil protection sector, and there is also rehabilitation after the floods, as well as prevention of future natural disasters.

In other words, all of us, citizens, benefit from these projects aimed at increasing security, but how to achieve additional benefits and become part of these projects?

For example, so far, 900 representatives of various local governments and civil society organisations have participated in certain trainings on civil protection, disaster risk reduction and adaptation to climate change. Furthermore, the volunteers of the Mountain Rescue Service of Serbia received various equipment, vehicles, trainings... To conclude, there is a wide range of opportunities, and the easiest way grasp them is to apply for cross-border projects.
