Summary
Border Crossing Point Kotroman is located between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to the data by the Customs Administration of Serbia, 347,513 cars, 21,887 trucks, 8,666 buses and 889,867 passengers passed through this BCP in 2015.
The EU support will result in faster movement of persons and goods at this significant road transport route. The project will include construction of six lanes (two in each direction, plus a lane for trucks) equipped with modern customs facilities on the Serbian side. The project will also include buildings, required infrastructure and facilities for the Border Police and Phytosanitary Inspection.
The completion of facilities is of great importance for the EU integration process in Serbia, in line with the Integrated Border Management Strategy. In accordance with the best EU practices and standards, it will provide better working conditions for Customs, Police and Agricultural Inspectorates staff, improve their cooperation, performance and quality of their services.
