Extension of the EU Energy and Climate Modelling Capacity to include the Energy Community and its Nine Contracting Parties

The general objectives of this tendering procedure and the subsequent contract for the Commission are twofold: (1) to develop a study to cover the Energy Community and its nine contracting parties in a comparable way and in line with the modelling capacity developed for the EU in order to assess the 2030 energy and climate targets, and (2) with such modelling capacity to develop a baseline and series of alternative scenarios to examine different methodologies and set-ups for possible 2030 energy and climate targets: energy efficiency, renewables and greenhouse gas emissions that can be expected for nine contracting countries.
